The large rather upright flowers have 11 tepals and open to 17.5cm across. A blend of pink shades to vertical yellow stripes on the outside, all paler within. Although it Flowers late in the season, they usually open before the leaves expand. It is however, very hardy and frost tolerant. Relatively vigorous, but distinctly upright habit.
